Now in its 15th year, the Command Officer Management Executive Leadership Institute was created for mid-career and executive level professionals who aspire to move up in rank and assume greater responsibility within their respective law enforcement organizations. With more than 500 graduates, the Institute has grown to become an integral part of Saint Leo’s School of Criminal Justice. While it has been a resounding success in providing much needed leadership training for the next generation of top-level executives in the Public Safety arena, greater support is needed to continue to attract and retain instructors who are experts in their discipline.

As a previous law enforcement executive, I know that leadership education is vital to provide safety and security to the citizens that we are sworn to protect. Over the years, Saint Leo University has been directly involved in developing and instituting state-of-the art leadership education to criminal justice professionals. As a result, this has had a very positive affect in terms of raising the profile of the University and our programs to chief executive officers of respective agencies.
