Advancing theological study.
With the launch of the doctoral program in 2023, a new School of Theology emerged at Saint Leo University. Not only have we experienced a growing number of students enrolling in the bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, but we are also building our third cohort in the new ThD program, which will start their studies this August. Yet, many students interested in our advanced theological study typically work in parishes and schools, and often have limited resources for pursuing further study or work at places with limited assistance for professional development. With a growing number of ThD students across the country, we have an opportunity to support and sustain those who teach, serve in faith formation roles, or direct religious education while they earn their degrees.
Supporting doctoral students with the School's first endowed scholarship.
Establishing our first scholarship for students pursuing a doctorate in Theology will better enable Saint Leo to fulfill its mission as a Catholic Benedictine university by making it easier for our doctoral students to pursue their vocation. With your support, the funds raised will be used to help endow a scholarship for the ThD in Applied Theology program.
