Supporting the fastest-growing program on campus.

We’re growing fast! Five years ago, nearly 50 students were accepted into Saint Leo’s Honors Program. Today, we represent nearly 300 students, becoming the fastest-growing program on campus. The Scholars and Fellows who make up the program are consistently Saint Leo’s most curious, engaged, and motivated students, and the faculty who teach the courses are dedicated and brilliant professors with a drive to reach our school’s most serious and talented students.

This year, we are seeking membership in the National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC), the premier organization for Honors programs and colleges. Membership includes opportunities for students and faculty to present at regional and national conferences, apply for scholarships, win grants, and participate in international education exchange initiatives hosted by NCHC.

With this exponential growth comes an increased need to do more for our students.

Creating a way to provide more options for students.

By creating a classroom fund for instructors teaching Honors classes, we can provide more options for students, from experiential learning and service-learning experiences in the classroom to offering more professional development opportunities and partnerships that put our theme of global citizenship into practice for every student.

We are working hard to create a new sense of community for Honors students. Your donations will also help support the opening of two Honors Program Student Lounges and enhance our visibility on campus through student and faculty T-shirts, banners, and signage at campus and admissions events throughout the year.

"I learned about insects, entrepreneurship, and philosophy."

While most of my curriculum was from the social sciences field, the Honors Program introduced me to a series of classes where I learned about insects, entrepreneurship, and philosophy. My mind opened to new interests, and that curiosity to learn something and then excel at it will stay with me for a lifetime. - Angelica Molina, International Studies & 2023 Valedictorian
