Tampa Bay Sporting Clays serves as home range, where Saint Leo’s Sporting Clays team spends multiple days a week learning and improving in various disciplines, including international bunker and sporting clays. Coached by Saint Leo’s Chief of University Safety & Emergency Management Mike D’Ambrosio, the team’s hard work is paying off as the Sporting Clays team continues to excel in local, regional, and national competition.
Achievements include:
- All-state team shooters from 2018 to present
- All-American Kreighoff team since 2021
- Two junior Olympians
- National Sporting Clays Association: two regional junior division placements
- Association of College Unions International southeastern regional: runner-up
- Southeast regional competition: first place in Super Sporting
- Scholastic Clay Target Program competitions: two championships and three Top 3 placements
